Everett Schuster’s Echo Series is rooted in experimentation with pigments and chemical reactions, developed early in his career and refined into a signature body of work. Each piece is created on hand-etched aluminum, a material chosen for its durability and reflective quality. The etched surface introduces a ripple effect that interacts with light in shifting ways. Depending on the time of day or the source of illumination, the work changes character, creating a sense of movement and vitality. Color and form emerge through controlled evaporation.
